Here at Golden Coast we’re busy preparing for one of the most exciting parts of our year: the start of our factory tours.
We’ve always been committed to going that extra mile for our customers, ensuring that we add value at every turn. Which means that we don’t just sell products – we do everything we can to ensure that our customers have the best possible understanding of how they work, too.
Our goal is to support each of our customers in achieving their business goals. Which is why we founded the GC Academy back in 2023: to share the knowledge that we have gained over almost half a century in the business, and to empower everyone we work with to rise to the top of their field.
But there’s only so much that can be learned in a training academy environment – even one as state-of-the-art as our Newbury site. So, to give our customers an even deeper understanding of our suppliers and their products, we like to organise regular behind-the-scenes factory tours as well.
These visits allow us to showcase exactly what we love about our suppliers, highlighting everything from their seamless manufacturing processes to the amazing people behind the brands. And they’re also a chance for our customers to meet and mingle with their contemporaries within the wet leisure industry, offering an invaluable networking opportunity.
At the moment, we’re gearing up for our first trip of the year; a journey over to northern Spain to tour the factory where Calplas filters are made. Accompanied by a small group of passionate pool builders, we’ll be touring the facility near San Sebastian and learning all about these market-leading products.
But it’s not all about work! At Golden Coast we believe that all of our customers are VIPs, and these trips are a chance to show them just how valued they are. Which is why we combine our factory tours with some choice eating, drinking, and local flavour, showcasing the very best of each destination. From pintxos in the tavernas of San Sebastian to whisky tasting in Edinburgh’s historic pubs, we’re looking forward to sharing more of the things we love this autumn.
So far, the schedule is looking pretty exciting. After Spain we’ll be taking representatives from 16 different companies to tour the Dryden Aqua factory in Scotland, before heading to the south of France to visit the team at Poolcop. Then, it’ll be over to Germany for a trip to SPECK headquarters, followed by two excursions to the Netherlands to learn more about Aquadeck and EVA. And we’re also in the process of scheduling visits to Dryden Aqua’s factory in Switzerland and Tylö in Sweden as well.
If all that sounds appealing, there’s still time to get involved – contact your sales rep to find out more.
