Golden Coast was founded during the sweltering summer of 1977, when David Adams decided to build his family a pool in their back garden. Initially, it was just a way to keep his kids from overheating as the temperatures soared – but it soon became so much more.
Before long, David began receiving enquiries from neighbours who had seen his pool and wanted help building their own. And he realised that there was a gap in the market for a specialist in the emerging wet leisure market.
Even at this early stage, Golden Coast had its sights set on the future, investing in solar heating despite the technology still being in its infancy. And this commitment to innovation has remained one of the driving forces behind the business’ success ever since.
Since the beginning, Golden Coast has also cultivated an approach to customer service that’s second to none, combining a knowledgeable sales team with tailor-made training and ongoing technical support. It was these values that attracted the attention of Pollet Pool Group in 2022, leading to a merger that has enabled both businesses to thrive.
Now, the team is looking forwards, building on Golden Coast’s long legacy to create an even brighter future. Of course, priorities have shifted over the years, and we’re more focused on sustainability and energy-efficiency than ever before. At the same time, we remain at the forefront of innovation in the wet leisure industry, always seeking out new solutions and emerging tech.
