The world feels very different this morning, doesn’t it.

We are being asked to make changes to our lives, we are being asked to make sacrifices and to pull together.

So this morning I did something that I could never have imagined possible, I addressed the staff here at Golden Coast and said they should start preparations for us to temporarily close the business.

Whilst the government guidelines would appear to allow us to continue operating as a trade distributor there’s a much bigger issue to consider here and that’s the moral obligation we have to the health and safety of the people that work here and doing our bit to help minimise the spread of COVID-19.

Clearly the situation is going to get worse before it gets better and I hope that by us all acting sensibly and complying with these guidelines we can help reduce the spread of the virus.

Accordingly, we will be closed from 17:00 tomorrow afternoon (Wed 25th) but in the mean time we will be here to take your orders and get them shipped out. All being well and subject to advice given, we will reopen our doors on Tuesday the 14th April.

During this time we will be checking emails remotely and where possible responding to any questions you may have.
