Lisa’s long service award

Golden Coast’s Warehouse Supervisor, Lisa Balkwill, has been awarded a long service award after celebrating 10 years of service with the Devon based wet leisure specialist.

Lisa started working for Golden Coast in 2001. During the past 10 years Lisa has worked in different areas within the warehouse and now supervises the Goods-In and stock control areas of the business.

Lisa was presented with her award by Golden Coast Managing Director, Jamie Adams, at the company’s annual end of year event, where staff exchange gifts before starting the Christmas break.

Golden Coast, a family run company, prides itself on its high level of customer service and Jamie believes this is helped by the loyalty of the staff, he says, “Lisa has been part of the team for 10 years and I hope she will stay with us for at least another 10. We have a fantastic team of staff and we have given almost 10 long service awards over the years, one of which was for a member of staff that has been with us for 20 years. I like to think that our staff enjoy working for Golden Coast and that is reflected in our customer service and attention to detail.

“It’s very important to us that we reward our staff and acknowledge the effort they put in to keep Golden Coast at the forefront of the wet leisure industry.”

As well as receiving an engraved crystal award , Lisa was also presented with a cheque for £500.

Commenting on her award, Lisa said, “I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since I first started working at Golden Coast. It’s a great company to work for, that’s why I’ve been here for 10 years. I don’t have any plans to leave anytime soon, so it looks like Jamie and the team will have to start planning for my next long service award in a few years time.”
