Tylö steam room equipment has recently been installed in one of Central London’s most prestigious residential developments.

Formerly the Lancaster Gate Thistle Hotel, ‘The Lancasters’, as it is known now, offers 77 ultra-prime luxury apartments, located behind the shinning white stucco façade of the Grade II listed Victorian property built in a French Renaissance Terrace style.

The apartments have price tags ranging from just under one-and-a-half million pounds for a one-bedroom ‘living space’ to £17 million for the top-priced four bedroom penthouse suite with uninterrupted views over London’s Hyde Park. All of them have access to a fully equipped leisure facility that includes a 15 metre x 14 metre swimming pool, spa, gymnasium and a bespoke eight seat bisazza tiled steam room

Tylo specialist

Installation of the steam room, which included a Tylö safety glass door and steam generator, was undertaken by our Surrey-based Tylo specialist, Leisurequip.

Leisurequip were also involved in another equally prestigious refurbishment project, this time at Tresillian House in Cornwall. Situated in its own 22-acres private estate near Newquay, the two-storey Regency period country house, originally built in the 1800’s, is now a private hotel. Guest facilities include a tiled caldarium (heated dry room) and tiled Tylö steam room, featuring a fibre optic ‘starry’ ceiling and Italian ‘designer shower’.

In addition to the Tylö products Leisurequip also installed a 2.3 metre tiled spa, with sequence changing coloured underwater LED lighting.
